Meet the Lathem Dental Spa Team

Dr. Claire Park, DDS

Dr. Park is a gentle, caring and patient-centered dentist who strives to offer the highest quality of professional dental service to her patients in the most comfortable manner possible.

Dr. Park was born and raised in South Korea where she attended dental school and received her dental license in 1995. Shortly after that she created and practiced within her own dental clinic – Lathem Dental Spa. Operating from 2000 to 2011, where she gained extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry.

In addition to her advanced dentistry skills; serenity has always been a big part of what Lathem Dental Spa represents, and Dr. Park understands how to create and combine tranquility amidst her dental care practice for each individual she cares for.

Dr. Park moved to Canada in 2011, and while raising her daughter and son in Langley, BC, and aside from her professional responsibilities, Dr. Park studied for and successfully completed the Canadian National Dental Examining Board (NDEB) examinations, and also became a member of the Canadian Dental Association and British Columbia Dental Association.

Her primary passion and focus is within modern Orthodontics – including 6-Month Smile and Invisalign, as well as cosmetic dentistry. Perusing the most current practices coupled with modern technology that is transforming dentistry; keeping up to date through continued courses and the various ways they can expand her dental practice, while still ensuring a caring and personal environment for all her patients.

Dr. Park is very proud of both of her children. Her daughter is an Art Major graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, who has now made a career as a painter. While her son is a science major at Simon Fraser University. Following in his parent’s footsteps, he is pursuing dentistry.

Dr. Park is keenly eager to contribute Canadian society through her dental practice and the passion she has for her profession, and looks forward to serving you!

Dr. Jay Son, DMD

Dr. Son has lived in several countries including: Korea, Japan and Canada. He is
fluent in Korean, Japanese and English, and appreciates the multiculturalism in
Canada, which influenced his decision to settle in British Columbia.

Dr. Son originally studied oncology radiation therapy; however, he was fascinated by the diverse dynamics of dentistry and changed his career path. He received his
doctorate of dental medicine from Case Western Reserve University, in Ohio.

Owning a successful dental practice in Abbotsford since 2014, Dr. Son enjoys the
many diverse aspects of his practice, including his specialized care in implant
surgery for over 6 years – including full-mouth implant surgery and
periodontal surgery.

As a Faculty Member of Basic and Advanced Implant Training Course at Hiossen, as
well as a Surgical Mentor in Study Clubs and Implant Training Courses, he performs
advanced implant procedures that include: Immediate Implant Placement, Bone
Graft / Advanced L-PRF & F-PRF, Crestal & Lateral Sinus Lift, GBR, and Soft Tissue Augmentation by CTG/FGG.

Dr. Son is also certified in Invisalign, Cerec Crown Restoration and Nitrous Sedation,
making him – not only a specialized dental care professional, but also a well-
rounded one.

Dr. Son is a big believer in educating his patients in optimal health practices –
offering them ways to maintain a healthy smile at home, as well as providing them
with follow-up appointments to ensure their overall health is always at its best.

As a cellist who loves to cook, Dr. Son can be found taking part in the many outdoor
activities around beautiful BC, both within the Lower Mainland as well as the
communities that surround it – keeping his own smile healthy through a balanced
